Taxi Tyres Manchester
Taxi and private hire drivers cover high mileage and cannot afford to be off the road. We supply and fit for black cabs (hackney carriages) and private hire cars, including taxi-specific ranges designed for long tread life, and we can fit them at the bay first thing or with a mobile fitter where you are parked. We are at 1 Norton Street, Miles Platting, so we are only minutes from Manchester city centre, Ancoats, Collyhurst, Newton Heath, Clayton, Openshaw, Beswick, Gorton, Longsight, Harpurhey, Moston and Cheetham Hill. Most car sizes can be fitted while you wait. You can book an appointment or call ahead to check stock.

How do I find my tyre size?
It is on the sidewall as a set of numbers, for example 225/40 R18. The first number is the width in millimetres, the second is the sidewall height as a percentage of the width and the third is the wheel size in inches.
Can you fit car tyres at my home or workplace?
Yes. Our mobile fitters come to your home, workplace or the roadside across Manchester and the North West. Call with your size and location.
What is the difference between budget and premium tyres?
Premium tyres from brands such as Michelin, Pirelli and Bridgestone usually give shorter wet braking distances, longer tread life and lower road noise. Budget brands meet the legal standards and are a cost-effective choice for lower mileage drivers.
